Hunting the Otherworlds

Starting off a new year comes with some well established traditions across Azorna, some old and some new creations popping up with the younger generation.

As the walls between worlds wanes as one year passes into another the power from the ingrained elemental powers seep outward and create small gaps between worlds. The scholars of the arts will take to the fields and try to hunt down the rarest of items created during this short period. Caution should also be taken, as creatures from the otherside can also start to roam beyond their aether homes.

The snow is still looming across many areas, with others are stuck under solemn grey skies that govern this time of year, all regions embrace an event to light up the skies and chase off the gloom as the year ends and a new one starts.

To help bring some cheer and color to the world, the traditional event during January is to set off fireworks, hang brightly colored streamers and enjoy social events in the evenings. The newer generations like to test their luck pulling extra strength from the aether while building new items, or just taking up friendly challenges to test their bravery in the dark and fight some of the creeping otherworldly creatures.
