Traits
North Wings (Uncommon)
Lightly furred smooth wings, with small claws. Fur may appear in patches, or cover the whole wing. Fur will be in the coat color range, but may be different that the rest of the body. Markings will not affect fur on Northern Balikin wings.
South Wings (Uncommon)
Southern Balikin have fully feathered wings, which may have a unique color in soft gradient along the tips.
East Wings (Uncommon)
Eastern Balikin have large gliding flaps with more defined fingers in place of full wings. This wing type may have a soft pinkening to the skin.
West Wings (Uncommon)
Western Balikin wings are more akin to large flippers, with stubby fingers and short furring.
Night Forest Wings (Rare)
Smooth skin wings, with prominent clawed edges.
Tundra Wings (Rare)
Heavily furred wings with distinct rocky claws that stand out. May have feathered tips, or smooth furred areas. Markings will carry over into fur on wings.
Ancient Fire Wings (Legendary)
A pair of dual wings, with the second set being smaller than the main. Can be be smooth, or feathered.
Ancient Ice Wings (Legendary)
Strips of ribbon like material or ‘Celestial Banners’, as few as two may be present. These wings may also have a smooth overlay along the arm.
Standard Location (Common)
Two unbroken patches of solid scales. Usually cover the back hip
Blanket Location (Uncommon)
One solid area of scales, always connected to the tail base. Commonly leaves the upper hip smooth.
Smooth Location (Uncommon)
No scales on body. Tail base may optionally have a small accent.
Point Location (Uncommon)
Very small patch of scales at the base of the tail.
Stone Location (Uncommon)
Four small patches of scales, one on each shoulder point, and another on each hip point. Back and body will otherwise be smooth.
Armor Location (Rare)
Prominent single patch of double layered scales with an edged lip that may be a secondary color from the base.
Koi Location (Legendary)
Two small patches on each hip points and a small saddle of scales along the back or over the shoulder. Mane will continue between the two areas down the back. Tail ALWAYS lacks a scaled base.
Echoed (Legendary)
Scales become transparent and float slightly above the body, Trait can resemble any Scale Location, and will also affect any Mutation that adds extra scales to the body. Transparency may be a solid level, or vary across all scales. Markings that affect scales can carry over to this trait.

Plate Back (Rare)
Between two and four rows of vaguely triangular, pentagonal, or slightly angled scutes that grow from the back. One set should always start at the shoulder, or back hip, regardless of number used in a design. Scutes may take on the texture of a character's Scale Type Trait, or remain smooth. Markings that affect scales may carry over to this trait.

Standard Scales (Common)
No added effects. Scales will be lightly ribbed or rounded.
Fishback (Uncommon)
Small round scales overlapping in either even or uneven patterns. Similar to fish scales. These may have some color patterning
Jeweled Scales (Uncommon)
Replaces solid scaled areas with large, smooth bubbles of single scales. Size varies between scales.
