Traits
Barreled Scales (Uncommon)
Long unbroken bars of scales, evenly spaced with flexible middle fibers, which will take some color from the coat color. Similar to armadillo plates.
Step Scales (Uncommon)
Breaks up a scale location to have exposed fur underneath. Size and shape of scale pieces will vary.
Broken Scales (Rare)
Large uneven plates that stick out from the body, usually with sharp edge notches across the whole body.
Shine Scales (Rare)
Adds a glowing effect to the scales, either in small accents and patterns, or as a whole.
Crystal Scales (Legendary)
Changes the scales into jagged, translucent gem stones.
Core Accent (Common)
Small, uniform spikes accent the Balikin’s back, head and tail. Spikes may stop and start in different areas, or cover only one location.
North Accent (Uncommon)
Adds a small set of natural horns, these can mimic any earthly animal and be any solid color.
Elemental affinity will be Earth or Metal.
South Accent (Uncommon)
Adds a small feathered crest on the brow, top or back of head. Color will be effected by coat color and markings.
Elemental affinity will be Fire.
East Accent (Uncommon)
Adds dense scaling across the lower jaw, neck and belly. Smaller scales may line the base of the wings, and body. Color may be another range of the coat color.
Elemental affinity will be Wind.
West Accent (Uncommon)
Adds small fins along the body, tail legs and head, and may be present in more than one area. Fins can be any color, but all need to be the same color across all locations.
Elemental affinity will be Water.
Night Forest Accent (Rare)
Adds spots of bioluminescence glows across the face, tail or wing tips. The white areas show the possible range. Glows can be large areas, or small marks.
Elemental affinity will be based on Poison, or other negative effects such as paralysis, sleep or confusion.
Tundra Accent (Rare)
Adds a thick full mane to the neck of the Balikin, additional fur can travel along the legs, chest and very base of wings. Manes can be any color, and include small streaks, or color gradients. Tundra Balikin may also add light iridescence accents to any markings they have.
Elemental affinity will be based on Weather patterns such a snow, lightening or hail.
Ancient Fire Accent (Legendary)
Adds large and elaborate horns to the Bailkin’s head. These can be based on real world animals, or fantastical. Horns may be any color or mix of colors, and include markings.
Elemental affinity will be Void.
Ancient Ice (Legendary)
Adds large and elaborate feather accents across the Balikin’s face and head. Feathers can be any color, or mix of colors, and can include any facial markings in them, regardless of range.
Elemental affinity will be Celeste.
